The Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals Chicago/Midwest Chapter is pleased to host the first of a 2-part series focusing on building a career as an alliance professional.

An interactive discussion panel featuring alliance professionals from multiple industries will kickoff the first session answering questions ranging from what skills are needed, to how to leverage your alliance experience on the corporate ladder or in a consultative role. In addition this event will preview the 2nd half of this 2-part series, focusing on Alliance certification.

  • Where do you go from an alliance professional position?

Speakers:
Rick Esker
, is the Director of the Mobility Alliances Group within Strategic Alliances for Cisco.  The Group is responsible for creation, incubation and operational governance of key partnerships with Motorola, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia Siemens Networks which are focused on mobility, presence and infrastructure.  Mr. Esker has been with Cisco for 10 years and has over 27 years of experience in the network technology industry including stops at Wang Laboratories and PictureTel.

Jack W. Pearson, MBA, is Vice President and Global Head of Alliance Management for NovaQuest, the investment arm of Quintiles. As the division’s Global Head, Mr. Pearson has allowed for the development and leadership of NovaQuest’s alliance management group. Chief among his responsibilities is to direct an executive team organized to oversee the principal-based relationships that are established within Quintiles strategic partnerships. He brings to his position more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the health-care field.

Steve Twait, Alliance Manager, Eli Lilly and Company – Steve is currently an Alliance Manager supporting a worldwide partnership (excluding Japan) with Daiichi Sankyo to develop and co-promote a cardiovascular product in more than 20 countries.  A founding member of Lilly’s Office of Alliance Management, Steve is part of a team committed to supporting the start-up, integration and value creation activities for alliance partners and Lilly stakeholders.    Steve has been an active member of the ASAP BioPharma Council and is currently serving on the Advisory Committee for the ASAP Certification and Standards Project. Steve has been with Eli Lilly since 1988 and has held several positions before joining the Office of Alliance Management in 2000.
