ASAP UK Member meeting 10 Dec 2008
Hosted by Accenture, topics included Green IT and an Author Panel.
The prestigious offices at Accenture in the City of London played host to a well-attended ASAP UK member event last month. The slide deck used is available for members here.
In a challenging keynote presentation, Tom Morgan of Accenture first explored some of the lessons of successful Strategic Alliances in general, before describing leading edge experience of Alliance working in support of Green IT.
Following a number of member requests for more advice from ASAP on “best practice” for Alliances, four authors working in the alliance field were each invited to tell the meeting their “big proposition” and then to form a Panel providing the opportunity for the membership to question them in depth! With topics ranging from Brand, through Standards, into Corporate Collaboration, and touching on Rebellious Teenagers and Captive Sharks, the Panel delivered a stimulating session which was generally felt to be of great value and not long enough to explore fully – but of course, the books are available! Read more about the authors and their works here.
Formal business ended with a rallying cry for members to embrace the CA-AM and CSAP qualifications, before the delegates moved to networking while enjoying the Christmas hospitality provided by our hosts.
