IT Europa Covers BT Event

"Much exciting work is being done to push alliance management up the agenda in the ICT industry, but despite the evolution of a business relationship specification (PAS 11000) and the possibility of a certification programme to follow, there is a long way to go before the strategic importance of alliances is matched by total commitment from board level downwards" reports December’s issue of Channel Business Solutions, a key publication of IT Europa.

The article continues with a message of hope that AAM and ASAP is driving the importance of partnering to board level in the ICT industry.  The movement towards partnership working is becoming increasingly powerful as ASAP gains momentum in the UK with renewed backing from the growing body of ASAP Members worldwide.

The article reports on interviews with key players including Tim Barnsley from AAM’s Managing Agent, Channel Dynamics Ltd; Steve Cash, Head of Global Partnering Strategy at BT; Lucy Dimes, Global Managing Director / VP BT HP Alliance at BT; and Hugh Thomas-Davies, who is responsible for Symantec’s EMEA relationship with Accenture.  Cash talked about BT’s approach to partnering from a strategy perspective and Dimes looked at BT’s partnering from an interpersonal relationship perspective.
