Findings from PwC’s annual CEO Survey and Digital IQ Survey

PwC's Global CEO Survey shows that technology advancement is a global mega trend that will transform business and industries over the next five years. These transformations will not only impact business models and industry sectors through technological advances but they will also impact demographic shifts and shifts in global economic power. Join our session to hear some of the leading ways businesses are raising their organizations Digital IQ and how this may be translated for alliances. This discussion will explore some of the key findings of PwC's recent surveys including our annual CEO Survey and Digital IQ Survey.

We will discuss specific trends found in these surveys including:

  • how CEO's are actively championing the use of IT to successfully

  • the relation of trends to business and IT spending

Nimma Bakshi is a Managing Director with PwC's US Corporate Advisory Services. Based out of San Francisco, Nimma is a leader within PwC's Advisory Alliances Group, heading one of PwC's Strategic Alliances. He is also a contributing member of PwC's Global Technology Consulting Strategic Council.

With over 20 years of experience in the professional services sector, Nimma is recognized for his leadership of business transformation & technology alliances, negotiating partnering business models and operating high growth joint venture initiatives.

Nimma has managed alliance operations in across sectors spanning: technology and communications, health care and life sciences, financial services and insurance, energy and utilities, consumer products as well as the public sector. In doing so, Nimma has led multiple technology powered business innovation efforts & multi-party collaborative service models.

Nimma is experienced in discussing how alliances can leverage the impact of emerging technologies such as cloud computing and big data to impact business models and improve productivity. In terms of external organizations, Nimma is the Past-President of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals, Silicon Valley (ASAP-SV). He is a certified alliance professional (ASAP CA-AM). Nimma is an active contributor to the Women In Technology, International (WITI) Annual Summits. He has also served on multiple corporate advisory boards in regards to business partnering.

Nimma's education includes a MBA from the University of Chicago, a MS in Operations Research and BSEE from the University of Maryland. Nimma, his wife and children live outside of San Francisco, CA.

Mike Pearl

Mike is a Principal in PwC's US Consulting business. Mike is PwC’s Technology Consulting Leader for the Technology, Entertainment & Media, Telecommunications and Hospitality industries. He also serves as PwC's Global Cloud Computing Leader. Mike has been a leader of PwC's Digital Transformation initiatives for several years and is one of the principal authors of the firm's Digital Transformation framework and Cloud Computing strategy. Mike has over 22 years of management and technology consulting experience, delivering strategy, design and operations consulting as well as large-scale transformation and technology services to clients across multiple industries.

He has extensive experience in helping organizations assess, design and implement strategies focusing on the improvement of business and technology processes. Mike leads some of PwC’s largest and most complex engagements including enterprise transformation related to digital business models. Mike's thought leadership on emerging business and technology issues helps to shape the firm's point of view. He was a primary contributor to PwC's Technology Forecast titled "Driving growth with Cloud Computing". He is frequently published and speaks regularly on the topic of emerging technology and business models. Mike is seen as a leader in the market when it comes to consulting on strategy and operations related to the convergence of technology and emerging business models. He is the lead consulting partner on some of PwC’s largest clients where he delivers emerging technology and business transformation consulting services. Mike has worked over the past several years with many of the leading technology companies in a number of different capacities and areas including Strategy, IT, Operations and Finance. Mr. Pearl holds a Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Notre Dame.
