Learn how to navigate the top challenges you face in managing your alliances.

We all know that alliance management has its challenges. Partnering isn’t easy! At the center of even our most successful business alliances are the differences between the two (or more!) organizations, which have chosen to partner together. Managing those differences is the crux of what an alliance professional does and learning how to navigate the top challenges you face is critical to your success.

Join us as we consider top challenges throughout all stages of the alliance lifecycle! Whether you are planning for a new alliance, recently kicked off a new partnership, or are in an alliance where you have been working together for years, this is an opportunity to learn and discuss solutions and best practices with alliance peers across industries. 
 
The Tri-State Chapter leadership have brainstormed our top three challenges to start the dialog but we encourage participants to come ready to share yours as well!

Join us for a round table discussion to address top challenges you face in managing your alliances, including:

  • Succeeding during change:  How to manage changes in strategy, priority, leadership or sponsorship due to reorganization, re-prioritization, and other factors.
  • Meeting alliance objectives after the alliance is formed:  How to succeed with and adapt to the initial alliance management plan. Examples include ineffective governance structures, a contract that limits your authority as the alliance manager, and resourcing issues (i.e. not factoring in the amount of resource collaboration would take).
  • Managing new elements of the collaboration: Sometimes there is no precedent...  Examples include the need to share Big Data, managing divestments, and managing new or different types of partners.

Brooke A. PaigeStaff Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, and Chief of Staff, HealthCore, Inc. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anthem, Inc.)
Having worked in the biopharmaceutical industry for over 20 years, Brooke has worked with numerous commercial, development, research and academic alliances, and has been a frequent speaker on trends in the alliance space and is currently serving as Chairman of the Board for ASAP.
