Position Description:
The candidate is responsible for managing and optimizing the value of Marinus’ Global partnerships with a strong focus on commercialization as well as design, develop, and execute global MAPs (Manage Access Programs). The primary focus for this position will be on the R&D and commercial global partnerships including in-licensing. Marinus’ current and future alliances may also include joint ventures, in- and out-licensing of products, and multi-product, broad strategic collaborations with a range of large and small companies spanning the globe.
Responsibilities:
-Work with new and existing Global Licensing & Distribution partners to ensure that we achieve our mutual goals in the alliance.
-MAPs planning from program development to start execution, including procurement processes, materials development, timelines, milestones, processes, budget and operations (SOPs/WIs, metrics) are published and maintained accordingly.
-Coordinate clinical, regulatory, and commercial initiatives in support of all global partnerships.
-Coordinate clinical development, commercial strategy, and tactical execution with Marinus alliance partner(s).
-Direct specific alliance management and governance activities, including procedures for decision making, governance, project team meetings, data exchange, etc.
-Manage contractual obligations, such as milestone payments, and advise collaboration participants on how the partnership contract should be implemented.
Required Experience:
-Minimum 7 years’ industry related experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is required.
-Direct alliance management experience within global pharmaceutical or biotech industry; experience in launching and managing R&D and commercial partnerships.
-Ability to translate complex contract terms and conditions into strategic and operational elements for both internal and external parties.
-Experience in the management or working within Research & Development or commercial alliances or management of development stage programs.
-Experience developing and executing MAPs is strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree preferred Experience in navigating a matrix organization with solid successful experience in influencing across multiple areas without direct authority. Excellent communication skills and project management skills
Up to 20% travel including some international is required based upon business needs
