Enterprise Transformation Consultant
Location: San Francisco - Hybrid
Job Summary
Serves as an internal consultant (employee) you will be responsible for driving organizational transformation and results for enterprise-level initiatives. Proficient in working with executives, senior clinicians, and others to facilitate/lead deep opportunity analysis, recommend innovative solutions, structure reliable implementation plans, develop related budgets, identify key metrics/required reporting, and effectively manage initiatives to achieve targeted results. Personally responsible for concurrently driving 2-3 initiatives from inception to implementation in collaboration with the executive sponsor and initiative owner. Demonstrates strategic, system, and analytical thinking as well as a strong understanding of healthcare provider strategy and operations gained through experience across a variety of healthcare systems and functions. Regularly works on highly complex issues or problems that require analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure. Exercises a high level of judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area or four years equivalent experience/training
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant health administration experience
- Advanced skills in project management and planning, with proven experience in short and long-range program planning, tracking project progress and managing complex projects with broad impact within time and budget constraints. Demonstrated ability to select and implement project management methods, tools, and metrics, with a strong focus on conceptual planning, analyzing diverse project scopes, and understanding the cost impact on organizational objectives
- Sound strategic thinking and consulting skills in guiding the organization toward workable strategies and solutions
- Proven ability to focus on priorities, strategies, and vision
- Advanced ability to coach, facilitate, and influence people at all levels
- Advanced ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of staff and members of the community.
- Financial analysis and reporting techniques.
- Broad knowledge of initiatives and an understanding of the impact on the organization of such initiatives.
- Demonstrated capacity to anticipate location-specific obstacles and plan for contingencies.
- Demonstrated attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated advanced effective writing skills. Advanced knowledge of all aspects of communications. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
- Proven leadership ability. Experience leading a team of professionals preferred. Effective problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to put forth persuasive arguments
- Effective skill at tracking effort and project progress. Advanced organization and project management skills. Demonstrated strong conceptual and planning skills to analyze projects of broad and diverse scope. Understand the cost impact of projects, project tracking tools and metrics
- Experience analyzing complex projects with broad impact. Ability to manage project progress within time and budget constraints
- Demonstrated ability to integrate critical information across disciplines. Understands how projects relate to other business strategies and initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of the organization's processes, protocols and procedures
- Knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs
- Advanced degree (MBA)
- Six Sigma / Lean Certification
Note: This is a hybrid position, where one will be required to work in San Francisco several days a week. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The annual salary range for this position is $129k - $303,8k, with a target entry point of $250,000, depending on applicable and relevant experience.
