Certification Renewal & Points
Continuing education is a critical part of certification—and keeping up with what’s new in alliance management. ASAP’s conferences, webinars, chapter meetings, publications, classes, and leadership boards give you the hands-on knowledge you need to grow professionally, stay on top of new trends, and keep your partnerships thriving. Plus, they go toward maintaining your CA-AM and CSAP credentials.
To earn and/or renew your CA-AM or CSAP certification, you must:
- Be an active member in good standing
- Amass six points over the course of three years, with at least one point per year. (Prospective CSAPs can accumulate all six points in one year—i.e., CA-AM–certified members that have accumulated six points do not have to wait three years to take the CSAP exam.)
- Earn those points from at least two of the following four categories:
- Presentations
- Writing
- Attending/Participating
- Service to the Alliance Profession
If you have any additional questions about certification, please contact Lori Gold, +1-781-684-9588.
Maintaining certification keeps you engaged with a community of people who have encountered, and continue to deal with, similar situations. “That’s something you can’t get out of a handbook or a test,” said Christine Carberry, CSAP, formerly of Keryx Pharmaceuticals, FORUM Pharmaceuticals, and Biogen Idec.
