Fail to Plan—or Plan to Fail! Joint Planning for Partnering Success

Joint planning is not just a nice-to-have: it has proven to be a critical success factor for high-performing collaborations, according to research from ASAP’s 6th State of Alliance Management study. The most successful partnerships had more formal processes for planning, integrated partner business planning with corporate business planning, and involved high-level executives in the process. However, while 96 percent of alliance managers surveyed indicated they had formal processes, only 24 percent said they used them! Our speaker will discuss the keys to successful joint planning, including how to work jointly with partners to plan activities for collaboration, such as business and resource planning; how to jointly coordinate and share resources between the parties to consistently predict, plan for, and meet future requirements; and how best to align the business planning process and engage key stakeholders and executives going forward.
