The past few years have seen advances in science and changes in market conditions result in growth in the biopharmaceutical business in Asia and with it, an increase in the number of alliances and alliance professionals. As part of its mission to be the go-to community for alliance and partnering success, ASAP is pleased to bring you this insightful panel discussion offering practical techniques for implementing alliance management within the context of Asian business cultures.

Moderated by Jan Twombly, CSAP, President of The Rhythm of Business and a Member of ASAP’s Board of Directors, this discussion features alliance and partnering professionals from Japanese, Korean, and Chinese companies, all of whom have experience with global alliances. Our discussion will cover topics including:  

  • The role of the alliance manager and examining it through an Asian lens
  • Best practices for managing governance, bridging country and company cultural differences in an environment of minimal face-to-face engagement
  • Techniques for facilitating communication between partners and internally, keeping stakeholders appropriately informed
